The Lloydminster Catholic School Division has issued a statement addressing allegations of employee conduct that have circulated on social media in recent days, saying it is aware of community concern and has reviewed the matter.
“Lloydminster Catholic School Division is aware of the matter currently being discussed within our community and we know this can be unsettling,” the division said in a statement. “We were made aware of a verbal interaction captured on video involving an employee of the division. We have reviewed the matter and consulted with our legal and professional channels.”
The division said the interaction in question did not take place during school hours.

“We can further confirm that the verbal interaction did not occur during school hours,” the statement said. “There is no current safety concern related to the operations of our schools; however, the amount of misinformation regarding this is a concern.”
LCSD said it is taking the matter seriously while working within established processes.
“We recognize the importance of transparency and maintaining public trust and we want to assure our students, families, staff, and community members that this matter is being addressed,” the division said. “The safety and well-being of our students remains at the heart of every decision we make. We take all concerns seriously and follow established policies, procedures, and legal requirements to ensure matters are addressed appropriately and responsibly.”
The division said it would not be discussing further specifics.
“We understand there may be questions about this situation. To respect legal and privacy considerations we’re not able to share specific details or discuss individuals,” the statement said.
LCSD said its focus remains on the close of the school year.
“As we approach the conclusion of another school year, our focus remains on supporting student learning, celebrating achievements, and ensuring a positive and successful end to the academic year,” the division said. “We remain committed to providing safe, welcoming, and faith-filled learning environments where students can continue to grow, learn, and thrive.”
The statement closed by thanking the community.
“We appreciate the concern, understanding, trust, and continued support of our school communities.”
