Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at 59 Avenue and 44 Street in Lloydminster just after 8 a.m. Friday.
A black SUV and a red sedan collided at the intersection. The SUV struck the sedan, which was travelling east, spinning it to face west. The SUV rolled before landing upright again, witnesses said.
RCMP confirmed the driver of the SUV, a 53-year-old Lloydminster resident, was ticketed for failing to proceed safely after stopping at the intersection.
Witnesses told BorderPulse the SUV appeared to be travelling at a high rate of speed before the crash. RCMP’s finding centres on the stop, not speed.
Eastbound traffic was temporarily closed while crews cleared the scene.

No serious injuries were reported. RCMP continue to investigate.
