Four firearms and ammunition seized from a Lloydminster home as investigators continue searching for three more restricted firearms.
Saskatchewan RCMP seized four firearms and ammunition from a Lloydminster home last month as part of an ongoing firearms trafficking investigation.
The Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on 22nd Street on July 15.
Officers located and seized four firearms with prohibited magazines, along with ammunition.
Investigators also determined four additional restricted firearms registered to the residence were missing. Those firearms had not been reported lost or stolen.
One of the missing firearms was later located by police in Alberta. Officers are still working to locate the other three.
RCMP arrested a adult male was arrested at the residence during the search.
Brian Gogowich, 61, of Lloydminster, is charged with:
- Three counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited device under Section 92(1) of the Criminal Code
- Four counts of failing to report the loss of a restricted firearm under Section 105(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
The charges have not been proven in court. Gogowich is presumed innocent unless and until convicted.
Gogowich is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Sept. 14, 2026.
