Lloydminster RCMP are asking for the public’s help after an early-morning hit-and-run left a man critically injured north of the city.

Police were called at 4:13 a.m. on April 15 to Highway 17, just north of 52 Street, for a report of an injured man. Officers arrived to find signs consistent with a hit-and-run, a fact later confirmed through investigation.

The victim remains in critical but stable condition.

On April 16, RCMP located the vehicle involved. Investigators later learned the vehicle had been stolen before the collision.

Mounties are still working to identify whoever was responsible.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage is asked to call Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, at www.P3Tips.com, or through the P3 Tips app. Residents can also report non-emergency crime online through the Alberta RCMP app.
