RCMP have confirmed a GMC Sierra lost a front wheel during an incident along Highway 16 near Range Road 13 just before 12:45 p.m. March 27.
Police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:43 p.m. The vehicle was not blocking traffic, and no injuries were reported.
The truck was not driveable following the incident.
Police are reminding drivers that with tire change season underway, lug nuts should be rechecked after approximately 100 kilometres of driving.
Most tire shops offer free re-torquing following seasonal tire changes.
