As of 8 a.m., light snow is falling in the Lloydminster area. Strong northwest winds are creating areas of reduced visibility, particularly in open sections of highway.
Between Edmonton and Lloydminster, Highway 16 is winter affected, with snow and drifting reported in exposed areas. Between Lloydminster and Saskatoon, Highway 16 is also winter affected, with snow and blowing snow reducing visibility at times.

Special weather notes:
Environment Canada has issued a yellow advisory for blowing snow. Snow and blowing snow are expected to continue through the morning, with snowfall amounts of two to four centimetres. Winds are forecast to gradually ease later this afternoon, which should allow conditions to slowly improve.
