A structure fire near Vermilion drew a multi-agency response Tuesday afternoon after crews arrived to find the building fully involved and fire threatening a neighbouring structure.
Vermilion Fire and Rescue Society and County of Vermilion River Protective Services support officers, were dispatched at 1:30 p.m. following a report of the fire. The Vermilion detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Medavie Health Services West – Northeast Alberta also responded.
Crews worked to protect neighbouring building
Firefighters found a single structure fully involved on arrival. They worked quickly to protect the adjacent building from the spreading fire and extinguished the blaze.
No information on injuries, cause or damage estimates has been released.
