The RCMP has responded to inquiries about reports of a series of thefts overnight Dec. 15-16 in the area of 48 Ave. and 33 St.
Lloydminster RCMP say a suspect remains in custody as of Wednesday morning following the thefts from vehicles in the area.
RCMP say a stolen bank card was later used at a 7-Eleven. Police have not confirmed the location.
A suspect was later located carrying multiple grocery-style bags, according to information provided to investigators.
Officers confirmed the incidents are not connected to the stolen GMC Sierra reported earlier in the night, that has since been recovered in North Battleford.
Police are reminding residents to lock vehicles, avoid leaving valuables inside, park in well-lit areas, and use visible cameras or motion lighting when possible.
The investigation remains active, and charges have not yet been finalized.
