Two men are facing multiple charges – including drug trafficking and weapons possession – after Lloydminster RCMP seized a stolen vehicle, illicit drugs, and multiple weapons on April 21.
Members of the RCMP Community Response Unit were conducting proactive patrols in the Park Manor area when they spotted a stolen vehicle. The pair of men fled on foot. Officers caught both after a brief chase.
Drugs, weapons, and cash seized
A search incident to arrest turned up stolen vehicle keys and suspected methamphetamine on the two men.
A subsequent search of the stolen vehicle turned up a more significant haul – suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, suspected morphine, unstamped cigarettes, Canadian currency, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Officers also seized several weapons from the vehicle, including a billy club, a machete, and numerous knives.
