Vermilion RCMP charge two in Mannville Assault

Vermilion RCMP have charged two Mannville residents following an assault that left a man with serious facial injuries.

Police say officers responded to a report of a badly assaulted male in the Village of Mannville on Nov. 30, 2025. The victim suffered serious facial injuries as a result of the incident.

RCMP said suspects were quickly identified and arrested, with charges recently approved following the investigation.

Marie Sansome, 52, has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon. Herbert Wold, 30, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. Both are residents of Mannville.

Sansome and Wold were previously released on conditions pending charge approval.

They are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion on Jan. 5, 2025.
