A wrong-way driver nearly struck a child outside Jack Kemp School during the morning drop-off Monday.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. March 16.
The Border Pulse observed the white van earlier travelling the wrong direction on 36 Street.
The vehicle then continued along 48 Avenue before turning onto 37 Street toward Jack Kemp School.
Video from the scene shows the van mounting the sidewalk in front of the school, narrowly missing a child as students arrived for the day.
After dropping off children, the driver again travelled the wrong direction on 37 Street before stopping in front of a nearby residence.
The windshield of the vehicle appeared heavily frosted for most of the incident.
RCMP were contacted and provided with witness statements. Officers are also in possession of dashcam footage of the incident.
Police are investigating, there is no word on charges.
