Emergency crews are on scene at an energy facility about 10 km west of Lashburn on Highway 16 following reports of a possible gas leak.
Legacy Regional Protective Services responded to the call Tuesday. RCMP and two EMS units, one from Lloydminster and one from Maidstone, have also arrived.
Very little information is available at this time. The cause of the leak and the extent of any exposure are not yet known.
Drivers are asked to move over and stop if they see emergency vehicles responding in the area, as per standard procedure. Please listen to all emergency personnel who are responding to the gas leak in the area as well.
BorderPulse has reached out to Legacy Regional Protective Services, RCMP and the facility’s operator for further information. This story will be updated as details become available.
