The suspect in last weeks hit-and-run involving a Border City Connect’s vehicle is still at large according to RCMP.

The collision happened at one of Lloydminster’s busiest intersections around 5:55 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the corner of 44 Street and 49 Ave. near The Proper restaurant. Police say a white Ford F-150 ran a red light heading westbound and struck a Border City Connects bus that was travelling north through the intersection.

No one was seriously hurt, but the non-profit’s vehicle suffered thousands of dollars in damage. The driver, who shared her experience online, said she never saw the truck’s licence plate before it fled the scene.

RCMP have confirmed the suspect vehicle description and say the investigation remains active. Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from that time to come forward. You can contact the local detachment at 780-808-8400.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers or directly to Border City Connects, which is helping investigators gather information.
