North Battleford RCMP are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found injured in a parking lot Friday morning.
Battlefords RCMP said officers were called around 7:45 a.m. on March 13 to a report of an injured male in a business parking lot off the Highway 16 Bypass in North Battleford.
Officers arrived and located the man. EMS later declared him deceased at the scene.
Police said the victim has been identified as a 30-year-old man from North Battleford. His family has been notified.
Investigators are treating the death as suspicious. The Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit has now taken carriage of the investigation.
Police said residents can expect an increased police presence near the Highway 16 Bypass area while investigators continue their work.

Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available. If investigators determine there is a risk to public safety, the public will be notified.
