RCMP, Kitscoty Fire Department and other emergency vehicles are responding to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving semi-trucks north of the town.
RCMP K Division communications personnel have confirmed one semi is a flatbed and may be across the road. The other is in the ditch.
Marwayne Fire and Rescue has been requested to help with traffic control. Highway 897 will be closed between Range Road 504 and the 510 for some time.
There is no word on injuries or cause, however, roadways are extremely slippery in the area.
