At approximately 10 a.m., April 17, The Border Pulse was made aware of a collision on Highway 17 in front of the 7‑Eleven which sent one to hospital.

Upon arrival, Lloydminster Fire Rescue, RCMP, and paramedics with Medavie West EMS were on scene attending to a two‑vehicle collision just south of the 36 Street intersection in the northbound lane.

Based on the damage, it appears one vehicle may have rear‑ended the other.

Firefighters assisted paramedics in moving one person from a vehicle and placing them on a waiting stretcher. The patient was then transported by EMS crews.

Police closed the northbound lanes while the investigation was ongoing.

There is no word on any other injuries.
