A teenager was struck by a vehicle in the Husky Truck Stop parking lot off 44 Street in Lloydminster during Monday evening rush hour.
“RCMP were dispatched to the scene at 5:45 p.m.,” stated RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff, PIO with “K” division. “At this time I can confirm the patient was conscious and breathing at the time we received the call.”
The Border Pulse observed firefighters and EMS treating the individual on the ground before being loaded into the ambulance. They were awake and alert.
A bicycle was recovered at the scene. Firefighters were observed loading the bike into an RCMP police car.
There is no word on cause or charges at this time.
