Cold Lake RCMP bust nets drugs, firearms, two arrested

Cold Lake RCMP made two arrests and seized cocaine and several firearms following a drug trafficking investigation that ended with a search warrant executed Wednesday.

Officers from the General Investigations Section searched a residence near 8 Street and 10 Avenue on April 23. RCMP officers arrested multiple people inside and located suspected cocaine, firearms, and items consistent with the illegal sale of controlled substances.

Gwen Janvier, 43, of Cold Lake, faces one count of trafficking in a controlled substance. She was released after appearing before a Justice of the Peace. Her next court date is May 20, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake.

Jordan Pascal, 36, also of Cold Lake, faces four charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
  • Possession of a firearm while unauthorized
  • Careless storage of a firearm

Pascal was remanded into custody after appearing before a Justice of the Peace. He is scheduled to appear April 28, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Bonnyville.

Cold Lake RCMP have not released further details about the investigation or indicated whether additional charges are pending.

The charges have not been proven in court.
