An arrest warrant remains outstanding for a Lloydminster man who has yet to be located by police.
Kayden Crane, 19, was previously charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with an undertaking following a two-vehicle collision at 62 Avenue and 43 Street on June 4.
Court records show Crane did not appear for his first scheduled court date on June 23. Duty counsel appeared on his behalf, the matter was adjourned, and a new date was set for July 14 for a plea.
Crane’s case was adjourned again on July 14. He was due back in court July 28 but did not appear, prompting a warrant for his arrest.
As of Aug. 5, Crane has not been taken into custody, RCMP confirmed to BorderPulse.
A family member had messaged BorderPulse claiming the warrant had been “dealt with.” Court records do not support that claim. As of Aug. 5, no bail forfeiture had been applied for and no other court file existed for Crane, according to Alberta Justice and Solicitor General. The warrant remains active and no future court date was available.
