In news:
RCMP in Vermilion are investigation a homicide. They stated a 30-year-old male was found deceased earlier this week. The Major Crimes Unit is in charge of the case.
A contents fire had firefighters battling the cold last night. The call came in around 8:10 p.m. and crews quickly dealt with the situation.
The decision to skip Lloydminster for LTC homes has been explained by MLA Young and the province. The province cites the ongoing health assessment among other reasons.

Commodities
March spring wheat closed at $5.29 per bushel, up about 14 cents on the day.
March canola closed at $651.70 per tonne, gaining $4.50.
March feeder cattle closed at $360.18 per hundredweight, edging higher.
March oats closed at $2.97 per bushel, higher on the session.
Energy Stocks
Western Canadian Select crude was trading at US$45.47 per barrel, sharply higher.
West Texas Intermediate crude was trading around US$61.07 per barrel, also higher.
Shares of Cenovus Energy rose Friday, finishing higher on the day.
Shares of Strathcona Resources also closed higher.
Traffic:
Roads from Saskatoon through to Lloydminster are bare, including the ones north and east of the city. 16 headed to Edmonton is a different story. Bare to Innisfree then reported as snow covered with reduced visibility the closer you get to the provincial capital.

Weather:
Our high today is going to be -24 with a 30 percent chance of snow, the windchill value will keep it feeling like below -30. Currently it’s -26 feeling like -31 as winds are out of the North Northwest at just 4 km/h.

Sports:
The Lloydminster Bobcats lost to the Grand Prairie Storm at home 5-1, they went down early and couldn’t mount a comeback. They take on Calgary Canucks tonight at home.
The Lakeland College Woman’s Rustlers lost only their second game of the season, falling 4-3 to the Nait Ooks. The team was down 3-0 headed into the third and despite the late push, couldn’t come back from the deficit, they get to take on Nait again tonight on the road.
The Bandits play tomorrow against the Vermilion Tigers at 5 p.m. at the Hub.
