The RCMP are reviewing video obtained by The Border Pulse that appears to show part of an altercation outside Neighbors pub early in the morning of Nov. 1. The incident sent two people to the hospital and remains under investigation.
The Border Pulse obtained the video directly from a member of the public and confirmed with RCMP investigators that they had also received a copy.
Due to the graphic nature of the video and privacy considerations for the victims, The Border Pulse is not releasing the full version publicly. This 8-second clip was near the end of the provided video.
The footage, which runs about 90 seconds, starts with a large group of people outside the establishment. It then pans in on a group of individuals assaulting a person who appears to be trying to get into the backseat of a car. Another person who may have been stepping in to help was also struck. Assailants threw multiple punches and kicks during the altercation before the group dispersed.
Border Pulse appreciated the member of the public’s help in sharing the video with us. Community cooperation is critical in situations like this, so hopefully, law enforcement can bring someone to justice.
RCMP confirmed they are analyzing it as part of their ongoing investigation.
The still image with this story, shows a different section of the extremely violent altercation.
RCMP continue to ask anyone with additional information or video footage to contact the Lloydminster detachment or Crimestoppers.
