Maidstone RCMP are asking for the public’s help after an armed robbery at a rural residence west of Maidstone resulted in the theft of dozens of firearms.
Police say the incident happened on Dec. 28 at approximately 9:13 p.m. at a property in the RM of Eldon, Sask. Officers responded immediately after receiving the call.
According to investigators, three unknown individuals drove onto the property in a light-coloured pickup truck around 9 p.m. The homeowner went outside to speak with the occupants. One suspect exited the truck and produced a firearm.
Police say three masked individuals then entered the residence, stealing approximately 20 guns and one crossbow before fleeing the scene. The suspects were last seen travelling west on Highway 16 toward Lloydminster.
The victim did not report any physical injuries.



Maidstone RCMP were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle following the incident and are now releasing descriptions in hopes the public can help identify those responsible.
The suspects are believed to be three adult males. One was wearing a grey and black winter jacket, white gloves, black pants, and a ballcap with a patterned face covering. A second suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a red logo, gloves, black and red high-top shoes, and a black balaclava. The third suspect was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, white gloves, dark jeans, and a grey face covering.
The vehicle involved is described as a light-coloured pickup truck, believed to be a Chevrolet or GMC Sierra. Police say photos of the suspects and the truck have been released as part of the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, recognizes the suspects, or has information about the truck is asked to contact police by calling 310-RCMP. Maidstone RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
