At approximately 12:25 p.m. today ( June 23 ) Lloydminster fire responded to an incident in the 3800 block of 52 Ave. in Lloydminster. The call resulted in a male being arrested.
Lloydminster Fire Rescue Dept. Chief Justine Loewan told us the original call was for a potential structure fire. No fire was located however the presence of the RCMP officer was connected to the call.
Lloydminster RCMP S/Sgt. Bruce MacLean confirmed an arrest was made.
“One male has been arrested for damage to property,” stated MacLean. “No charges laid at this time.”
Approximately a dozen firefighters responded to the scene which saw building four evacuated while the investigation was completed. The incident was cleared up within the hour.
