Lloydminster RCMP have released new details following a significant police presence near 48 Avenue and 32 Street on Nov. 19.
According to RCMP, officers responded to a report of an assault and theft of a motor vehicle earlier that morning. Police located the stolen vehicle quickly and deployed RCMP Police Dog Services. A track led officers to a nearby residence, prompting a large containment around the home.
Father Gorman School was notified due to the number of police in the area. RCMP said an assessment determined there was no risk to the school.

Investigators obtained a warrant before entering the residence. Three individuals were arrested inside. Two were released on conditions while the investigation continued. Police said a fourth person, identified during the investigation, was later arrested separately.
As a result of the investigation, Amanda Ironstand, 40, of Lloydminster, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime.
Ironstand appeared before a justice of the peace and was released on conditions. She is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Dec. 15.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 306-825-6350 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
