At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 21, reports of significant RCMP activity in the 3800 block of 50 Avenue began circulating on Lloydminster social media.
A photo shared online shows multiple RCMP units parked in and around the Bank of Montreal parking lot. One bystander reported seeing at least one individual detained.
RCMP Public Information Officer for K Division, Mat Howell, said only limited details could be released as the situation remained fluid. He confirmed the incident was not connected to the bank.
“The call is in relation to a stolen vehicle which was located,” said Howell.
Further information is expected as the investigation continues. Updates will be posted by The Border Pulse as they become available.
If you have any information that could be helpful in this case, or others currently under investigation, you are encouraged to contact Lloydminster RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
