Lloydminster RCMP are searching for a suspect after a fatal shooting on 50 Avenue.

Police believe the shooting was a targeted incident.

RCMP were called to a report of shots fired near 50 Avenue and 47 Street around 11:09 a.m. on *Sept. 21. Fire crews and EMS arrived on scene and tried to save the victim. The person died at the scene.

The suspect remains at large, RCMP said.

Alberta RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone with footage of the area between 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment at 780-808-8300.
