A Lloydminster man is facing charges after an RCMP officer was injured during a late night disturbance at The Sticks.
Police responded to the business at approximately 10:55 p.m. Feb. 19. Police confirmed a male was arrested and a conducted energy weapon was deployed during the incident.
Martin Robert Boser has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest under Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code, and mischief under Section 430(1)(d).
RCMP confirmed the officer suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses allege Boser approached an officer, became aggressive and assaulted them prior to being tasered. They credited bystanders with getting involved after the officer was spit on and then struck.
Those specific details have not been formally outlined in the police release.
Boser was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on March 17, 2026.
