Meadow Lake RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 29-year-old woman found unresponsive in a parking lot Friday morning.
Police received a report at about 8:50 a.m. on Nov. 28 of an unresponsive person near the junction of Highway 4 and 1 Avenue West. Officers arrived and located an adult female who was declared dead at the scene. She has been identified as a 29-year-old woman from Waterhen Lake First Nation. Her family has been notified.
The death is considered suspicious. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is leading the investigation with help from the Meadow Lake detachment, North Battleford Police Dog Service, North Battleford Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
