At approximately 10 a.m. this morning, emergency services were called to the corner of 44 St. and 49 Ave. for reports of a collision.
Upon arrival they located a truck and SUV which had been in a collision. The SUV was sitting in the intersection while the truck had moved past it and pulled over. There visible damage to the SUV.
Lloydminster Fire Rescue were on scene providing first aid to a driver. EMS have arrived on scene. RCMP were en-route.
“RCMP would like to remind you to slow down and take your time getting to your destination,” said Public Information Officer Cpl. Mat Howell. “The roadways can actually be worse with the increase in temperature, which adds moisture to the snow and ice already on the road.”
There is no word on the severity of the injuries or the cause.
Emergency responders remain on scene, please give them space to work.
