Just after 4 p.m. Friday, emergency crews responded to a collision involving a snow plow and a loaded crude transport truck north of the Lea Park Bridge.
Marwayne Fire and Rescue, Medavie Health Services West and Kitscoty RCMP were dispatched after several 911 calls reported the crash north of the Lee Park Bridge.
Kitscoty Fire Chief Daryl Jakubec and Kitscoty Deputy Chief Neil Zack came across the collision while driving home and immediately began helping at the scene.
Due to the presence of hazardous materials, County fire dispatch toned requested the County Operations Officer be dispatched. Alberta Transportation Dangerous Goods inspectors were contacted as a precaution.

A Voyent Alert from County of Vermilion River Emergency Management advised drivers of delays and detours in the area.
Two people were treated on scene by paramedics. RCMP are investigating.
There was no risk to the environment.
Emcon Services Inc. remained on scene providing traffic control while a private contractor worked to remove the damaged vehicles. Drivers are asked to use caution and expect delays.
