Good morning Lloydminster and welcome to today’s Border Brief. Today’s weather is good and roads are in great shape. Here are your headlines, commodity prices and everything else you need to have as you roll out the door.

Headlines:

1 – Saskatchewan RCMP name their top ten calls to 911 that make them go, why did you call us?
2 – A car was left blocking a sidewalk after a collision around noon yesterday.
3 – Alberta launched a hub dedicated completely to getting a northwest pipeline. You can see it here.
4 – Over 40 projects have already been approved for the Saskatchewan Playground Grant
5 – Prime Minister Mark Carney is headed to China, marking the end of nearly a decade of colder relations between the governments.

Commodities:
March spring wheat
closed at $5.18 per bushel, up about 7 cents on the day.
March canola closed at $620 per tonne, gaining just over $6.
March feeder cattle closed at $355.50 per hundredweight, down about $3.50.
March oats closed at $3.08 per bushel, slightly higher.
Feed barley is trading around $231 per tonne, according to the latest Alberta Agriculture weekly market review.
Yellow peas are trading around $256 per tonne, based on the same report.

As of this morning, according to OilPrice.com, Western Canadian Select crude was trading around US$45 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate was trading around US$57 per barrel.

Road conditions around the region are in great shape today. Bare conditions reported from Edmonton through to Saskatoon. North and east? Just a small section headed to Onion Lake reported as partially covered and teh ongoing issues at Deer Creek Bridge.

Expect a few flurries today with temperatures hovering around -10 and remaining cloudy. We see the sun again tomorrow with a daytime high of around -12. As of 6 a.m. it was -13 feeling like -21 with winds blowing from the West Southwest at 15 km/h.

The Calgary flames were defeated 4-1 by the Montreal Canadiens. The Bandits play at home at the Cenovus Energy Hub tomorrow night at 8 p.m. vs. Cold Lake. The Bobcats are off to Bonnyville for the first of a home and home at 7 p.m.
