Battlefords RCMP have charged three youths after a serious assault at a business in North Battleford early Monday morning.
Police say officers were called at approximately 1:10 a.m. on Dec. 15 to a report of an assault at a business on 100 Street.
Investigators determined a group of individuals assaulted an adult male inside the business. The victim was taken for medical treatment, with injuries described by police as serious in nature.
Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services were called in to assist with the investigation. The police dog tracked from the scene to a residence on 99 Street.
At that location, officers arrested three male youths.
As a result of the investigation, all three youths, each 17 years old, were charged with aggravated assault under Section 268 of the Criminal Code.
The accused cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
