A traffic stop on Highway 16 near Maidstone led to the seizure of approximately four kilograms of suspected cocaine and drug trafficking charges against an Edmonton woman.
On Jan. 8, 2026, members of the Saskatchewan RCMP Roving Traffic Unit stopped a vehicle for an equipment regulations violation. During further investigation, officers arrested the adult female driver and searched the vehicle.
Police say officers located and seized about four kilograms of suspected cocaine.
Leanne Harcourt, 41, of Edmonton, Alta., is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is also charged with possession of *methamphetamine under section 4(1) of the Act.
Harcourt is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on March 9, 2026.
