At approximately 12:25, Lloydminster emergency services attended to the first of what would be two collisions on 44 street over the Dec. 22 lunch hour.
The first, according to a member of the public, involved “possibly three vehicles” at the corner of 75 Ave and 44 street.

Upon arrival, Lloydminster RCMP and Lloydminster Fire Rescue were untangling at least two vehicles from the incident. No word on injuries, the investigation remains ongoing. 75 Ave. northbound and eastbound lanes of 16 were restricted and slowed for about 30 minutes while the incident was cleared.
Shortly after that WPD ambulance was dispatched to the corner of 44 street and 49 Ave. for another 2 vehicle collision.
There is no word on cause or injuries at that scene, however it did cause a visual distraction for other drivers.
