Reid still facing hate-crime and firearms charges at first court appearance

John Charles Reid had his first day in court on Monday, Jan. 11 and still faces three charges around his arrest on December 2, 2025.

The Border Pulse had been informed by people close to him that some of the charges had been dropped. However, the docket for Monday at the Saskatchewan Provincial Court showed he still faces charges under three sections of the Criminal Code.

They are the same ones he was originally charged with.

•             Unauthorized possession of firearms;
•             Unsafe storage of firearms; and
•             Wilful promotion of hatred.

Reid’s case was moved to Feb. 2, where he is set to make an election.
