A suspect is in custody after a firearm was reportedly pointed at people inside Lloydminster City Hall on the afternoon of Jan. 8.
Cpl. Mat Howell, public information officer with the Alberta RCMP, confirmed RCMP officers responded within minutes.
“At 2:33 p.m., RCMP responded to reports of a firearm being pointed at people inside City Hall. The suspect then left,” said Howell. “He was apprehended on the north side of the building and remains in custody.”
Police have not released details on potential charges. The investigation is ongoing.
