The event supported The Olive Tree and The Salvation Army, two organizations that provide essential services to families in need across Lloydminster, particularly during the holiday season.

Organizers say the community response was strong, with donations including more than $2,000 in cash, 3,700 pounds of food, and approximately $8,000 worth of toys.

Local businesses and partners also played a key role in the success of the drive. Event organizers thanked Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart, Canadian Tire, and the City of Lloydminster for their support and contributions.

Volunteers from the Lloydminster Youth Council also helped throughout the day, braving cold temperatures to assist with collections.

Organizers extended their thanks to local media outlets for helping spread the word and, most importantly, to residents of Lloydminster and surrounding communities who donated.

They say the generosity shown will help ensure many children and families can enjoy a brighter Christmas season.
