Lloydminster RCMP are investigating a report of shots fired near the Lloydminster Travelodge Friday evening.
Officers were called to the area at approximately 7:57 p.m. Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence as the investigation continues. Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
As part of the investigation, RCMP are asking the public to help locate two white four-door BMW SUVs with unknown licence plates. One of the SUVs is believed to have sustained damage to the rear. Both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on 50 Avenue near 36 Street.
Investigators are also looking to identify and locate a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and a dark-coloured Hyundai sedan that may be connected to the incident.
Police are also seeking to identify several individuals who were present. One suspect was last seen wearing:
- Tan hoodie
- Tan pants
- White shoes
Also present were a female wearing a red shirt and black pants, and a male in a white shirt and green shorts with white trim.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, observed any of the described vehicles, or has dash camera footage, surveillance video or other relevant information is asked to call Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400.
