A 34-year-old man from Gallivan, Sask., died Sunday night after a collision in which a vehicle struck him on Highway 4 in North Battleford, said Battlefords RCMP.
Police received a report of the collision at about 10:10 p.m. Sept. 27. It happened within city limits.
Officers responded along with local fire crews and EMS. Paramedics declared the man dead at the scene. His family has been notified.
RCMP closed the highway Sunday night while officers worked at the scene.
RCMP have not released the man’s name.
The driver stayed at the scene and told police they had no physical injuries, said RCMP.
A Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist is helping Battlefords RCMP investigate. Police have not said what led to the incident.
RCMP had not released further details as of Monday morning.
