Last night, RCMP warned of two dogs on the loose in Vermilion. As of a citizen report around 4:30 a.m. they were still on the loose north on the dump road. We have reached out to RCMP for an update, stay tuned to the page for more on this developing story.

Commidities:
March spring wheat closed at $5.12 per bushel, up slightly on the day.
March canola closed at $628.30 per tonne, down about $4.50.
March feeder cattle closed at $359.70 per hundredweight, slipping about $2.40.
March oats closed at $2.87 per bushel, lower on the session.
Feed barley is trading around $236 per tonne in central Alberta, according to the latest Alberta Agriculture weekly market review.
Yellow peas are trading around $255 per tonne, based on the same report
Energy Stocks
Western Select Canadian Crude closed at 47.51 US on the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude traded at US $60.44 per barrel.
Shares of Cenovus Energy climbed Wednesday, gaining more than 4 per cent.
Shares of Strathcona Resources finished lower on the day.
Traffic:
Roads in all directions are considered bare this morning. The second of two large loads is leaving Tofield this morning to head to Lloydminster. At a top speed of 60 km/h and taking over the whole width of highway 16 eastbound, they will cause delays as the get on west of Lavoy and then head south on Range Road 14. The one ongoing issue is at Deer Creek Bridge still exists as well.
Weather:
A mix of sun and cloud today with dropping to 1 degrees with a 30 per cent chance of showers this morning. As of 6 a.m. at the airport, we’re sitting above the forecasted high at 2 degrees with wind out of the west northwest at 33 gusting to 45 km/h.

The Lloydminster Bobcats scored the first four goals last night on their way to beating the Bonnyville Pontiacs at the Cenovus Energy Hub 6-4, they play next Friday at home against the Camrose Kodiaks before heading to Camrose Saturday.
The Lakeland College Rustlers 13-1 woman’s hockey team is off to Olds for two games this weekend.
The Bandits take on the St. Paul Canadians at home Saturday at 8 p.m.
The New York Islanders are in Edmonton tonight to take on the Oilers. While the Calgary flames are in the windy city to take on the Chicago Blackhawks.
