Vermilion RCMP are responding to a serious dog attack inside a residence near the Vermilion airport.

Police say two dogs attacked two people inside the home before escaping. The dogs were last seen in the area of 44 Street.

The dogs are described as two beige pitbulls, both wearing collars.

RCMP are warning the public not to approach the dogs, saying they are considered dangerous.

The extent of the victims’ injuries has not been confirmed, but police say they are serious.

Anyone who sees the dogs is asked to call RCMP immediately.

  1. You have no idea what a pitbull is. That’s an umbrella term for bully breeds. Using the term “pitbull” is damaging to the dogs reputation as the American pitbull terrier is not supposed to have human aggression, only be prone to dog aggression. I’m pissed of cause I thought you guys were good but then you go ahead and say shit like that. The pit bulls sitting in the shelters also hate you rn.

    • I appreciate your point of view. However, it was the RCMP that stated it was a “pitbull”, we are not allowed by law to change the intent and wording of an RCMP release. I understand where you are coming from but our hands are tied in situations like this.
