Vermilion RCMP are investigating reports of a wrong-way vehicle travelling on Highway 16 within the last hour.
At approximately 6:03 p.m., police received a report of a white Ford Raptor driving westbound in the eastbound lanes near Range Road 60. A second call came in just minutes later, around 6:07 p.m., describing a white half-ton truck still headed the same direction near Range Road 54.
The Border Pulse extends its thanks to the member of the public who alerted us to this situation and reported it to police. That same witness believed there may have been damage to the vehicle, although that detail has not been confirmed by RCMP.
Officers responded immediately to the area but have not confirmed any collisions or further sightings of the truck.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution and report any suspicious or erratic driving to 911 immediately.
